The Department of Sedimentology & Environmental Geology aims at studying and teaching the origin, (paleo)environment, history, properties, use and environmental sensitivity of sediments and sedimentary rocks.

The Geozentrum situated in the northern part of the town (Uni Nordbereich)
from the railway station Göttingen: Bus 21, 22, 23 and 41 towards Klinikum & Weende until stop 'Goldschmidtstrasse'

arrival by car: Leave the highway (A7 E45) at exit 'Göttingen Nord' and drive towards Braunlage (B27) until the sign 'Uni, Kliniken, Polizei' then turn right-left-right-right and you are already in the parking area of the Geozentrum. The Sedimentology is situated in the third floor of the long building having no balkonies ("Altbau Geologie").
