A method of statistical treatment of grain size distribution curves will be proposed, that takes
into account their (nasty) characteristics: that the area below the curve adds up to one,
that it is a smooth, continuous curve, and that it can be polymodal. Two examples of automatic
classification and mapping will be shown, one with Laser Particle Sizer data, the other
obtained from sieving.
The physical samples of the first case will be available, to help discuss the results :-)
